McCallum announces plan for affordable food, a forensic audit of city hall's land deals, and pulling Surrey out of Metro Vancouver

SURREY, BC — Doug McCallum today announced a package of new commitments for October 17: a Farm Local plan to fight food inflation by growing Surrey's own food supply, an independent forensic audit of the City's recent land deals to root out waste, abuse and fraud, a pledge to withdraw Surrey from the Metro Vancouver Regional District, a 60-day permit guarantee, and a 2-year break on licence fees for new small businesses. McCallum also introduced the Safe Surrey Coalition's full slate of council candidates for October.
