Doug McCallum's leadership has delivered record investments in 46 capital projects. Surrey now enjoys new community centres, ice rinks, swimming pools, track and turf fields, and picnic shelters, all while keeping property taxes low and maintaining a balanced budget. In the 2018 election, Surrey residents asked Doug McCallum to build infrastructure that had been neglected for up to 30 years, such as extending SkyTrain toward Langley and replacing the Bailey Bridge on King George Highway. He delivered on those promises and more: SkyTrain reached Clayton Heights, UBC came to Surrey, Bear Creek Stadium was built, and the 84th Avenue Road Connector linked communities across the city.

On October 17th, 2026, Doug McCallum is seeking a new four-year term as Mayor of Surrey. He will continue to deliver for Surrey residents.

He has used his extensive business experience to implement policy changes that reduced bureaucratic red tape and simplified the process for small businesses to operate in the City of Surrey. Mandeep continues to advocate for small business owners so there are more opportunities to build a diversified economy and create local jobs for Surrey residents.

Drawing on the experience of living and raising her family in Cloverdale, White Rock and South Surrey, Allison Patton has developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and priorities of Surrey's diverse communities. As a naturopathic doctor serving South Surrey for the past 25 years, Allison has worked closely with thousands of patients, helping them achieve better health while recognizing that strong communities are built on healthy families.

While serving on Surrey City Council, Allison was a strong advocate for responsible growth that kept pace with Surrey's rapidly growing population. She worked closely with the Surrey School District to support new school construction and long-term capital planning while championing investments that strengthened neighbourhoods and improved quality of life. Allison also continues to support the expansion of Surrey's SkyTrain to Clayton Heights as construction progresses and believes improved transportation infrastructure is essential to Surrey's future.

During her term on Council, Allison consistently advocated for major transportation improvements, including the widening of 32 Avenue from King George Boulevard to 164 Street and the long-awaited replacement of the Bailey Bridge in South Surrey. She remains committed to investing in roads, parks, recreation facilities and public infrastructure that reduce congestion, improve safety and enhance the quality of life for Surrey residents.

Born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia, Suhana Gill is driven by a profound, lifelong dedication to her home city. As a local public administration professional and community advocate, she is stepping forward to run for Surrey City Council with the Safe Surrey Coalition. Her candidacy is anchored in a clear, forward-thinking vision: to ensure Surrey's unprecedented growth is strategically managed to sustain the future of its families, young professionals and next generation. Suhana believes that traditional political longevity is not the sole measure of civic success. While seasoned execution is vital, addressing modern municipal challenges also requires modern perspectives. By bringing her energy and direct, long-term stake in the city's future to the table, Suhana offers a valuable complement to the experienced leadership of Doug McCallum and the team. She is running to serve as a strong, accessible voice for Surrey's large and rapidly growing youth population.

Suhana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, specializing in public policy analysis and criminal justice systems. While pursuing her studies, she was elected the youngest-ever Women's Representative at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, representing and managing operations for more than 22,000 students. During her tenure in student governance, Suhana chaired both the Governance Committee and the University Affairs Committee, directing constitutional compliance and navigating complex institutional policies. Her professional foundation in public administration, policy and governance gives her a practical understanding of municipal decision-making and the importance of thoughtful, responsible growth that benefits Surrey residents.

Suhana is a trusted and engaging communicator and a prominent public voice on regional policy. She is a frequent contributor to CBC and other major media platforms, where she shares policy-informed commentary on youth civic engagement and regional elections. Through a digital platform of more than 23,000 followers, Suhana promotes grassroots advocacy, amplifies youth leadership and encourages meaningful public dialogue on the issues facing modern families. Her commitment to local welfare is also reflected in her service with the Surrey Cares Community Foundation, where she collaborates with community partners on the Fund Development Committee to help secure sustainable philanthropic resources for vital social programs across the city.

Suhana's contributions to public service, community development and advocacy have earned recognition across British Columbia. She is a recipient of the Surrey Board of Trade's Top 25 Under 25 award, Drishti Magazine's Influential Women of the Year recognition, the Soroptimist International Ruby Award and the Environmental Leader Award from the Surrey Now-Leader. Running with the Safe Surrey Coalition, Suhana brings a strong combination of public-service dedication and next-generation leadership and is prepared to help build a safer, more prosperous Surrey for everyone.

Cheney is a Surrey business owner, a longtime community advocate, and a parent with kids in local schools and local sports. She brings more than 20 years of experience delivering complex initiatives across the public and private sectors, including 15 years with Fraser Health Authority in senior leadership roles, where she led major transformation projects that improved services, integrated systems, and delivered measurable results for patients and families.

Cheney owns a wholesale distribution company supplying independent pet-supply retailers across Western Canada. Running a business here has given her a first hand understanding of what small business owners in this city deal with every day.

She served as Vice-Chair of the Surrey Police Board under Chair Doug McCallum, helping get the Surrey Police Service up and running from nothing and working through complex governance and community issues along the way.

Cheney is known for being straightforward and for getting things across the finish line. She is committed to a Surrey Police Service with the tools and the funding to do the job, zero percent property tax increases, SkyTrain down King George Boulevard to Newton, and new pools and community centres for the neighbourhoods that have been waiting years for them.
